Richard Neves, Owner Gig7 Crop insurance is owned and operated by Richard Neves. Richard grew up on a family farm in Tehama County and attended California State University, Chico, earning his degree in Agribusiness in 1989. After graduating college, Richard remained in Butte County and managed the Butte County Farm Service Agency office for many years. Richard is a fully licensed insurance agent (#0D66258) and with his extensive knowledge of farming in Northern California he is more than qualified to assist you with your crop insurance needs. |
Hurshbir Shahi, Agent Hurshbir grew up on a family farm and worked namely with perennial crops: peaches, prunes, walnuts, and almonds. After graduating from the University of California, Davis with a degree in environmental toxicology, she sought a Master of Science in Biology with an emphasis in conservation management. Her thesis work was published in the peer reviewed journal, American Journal of Botany (American Journal of Botany 99(8): 1323–1334. 2012). Previous work experiences include registering pesticides with the Department of Pesticide Regulation to control pests, working on State incentive programs to clean up air emissions such as Proposition 1B Goods Movement Emission Reduction program, the Carl Moyer Program, and she has worked on the low carbon fuel standard, which encourages the use of low-carbon fuels such as biofuels.
